Job Description: Accounting Intern


Position Overview:

LocWill is seeking a talented and experienced Supply Chain Data Scientist to join our team. As a Supply Chain Data Scientist, you will leverage your expertise in data analysis, modeling, and machine learning to drive insights and improvements in our supply chain operations. Your advanced analytical skills will contribute to optimizing inventory management, demand forecasting, logistics planning, and overall supply chain efficiency.


Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

Support the month-end and year-end close processes by performing account reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.

Assist in recording and verifying financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

Assist in analyzing and interpreting financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze financial information for budgeting and forecasting purposes.

Support the preparation of journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts.

Assist in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment reconciliation.

Assist in conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Support the maintenance of financial records and documentation in accordance with accounting regulations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special accounting projects and initiatives as assigned.


Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data analysis and reporting.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software or tools.

Knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and general ledger reconciliations.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and present financial data effectively.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Eagerness to learn and contribute to accounting projects and initiatives.

Prior internship or relevant work experience in accounting or finance is a plus.

Knowledge of accounting software systems, such as QuickBooks or SAP, is a plus.
